  • Know your financial situation, how much you can borrow

  • Get pre-approval from your mortgage broker

  • Find a property that you can afford

  • Instruct a building inspector, lawyer, insurer, valuer

  • Make an offer - conditional upon building inspection, finance and valuation.

  • Negotiate a settlement date

  • Carry out a pre-settlement inspection
